Timp Landscaping installs both sodded and seeded lawns. Below you will find a list of some of the grass seed mixes we typically use along with their advantages and maintenance requirements. Custom mixes are also available. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
SOD
The sod we use is a combination of three to five bluegrasses (the exact mix will change somewhat each growing season as better strains become available).
MADISON PARKS LAWN SEED MIX
The Madison Parks lawn is a deep green color with very fine grass blades (easier on which to walk barefoot). For this lawn to look its best, regular weed control, fertilization and occasional watering will be required.

• Geronimo Kentucky Bluegrass - 14.7%

EARTH CARPET LAWN SEED MIX
This mix has lower maintenance requirements than Madison Parks (e.g. better drought tolerance, less fertilizer needed). The color of this seed mix has a lighter green appearance than Madison Parks in addition to being somewhat rougher in texture.

• Creeping Red Fescue - 25%
• Annual Ryegrass - 15%
• Dimension Perennial Ryegrass - 10%

LOW MAINTENANCE MIX (this mix also available with Alsike Clover)
This mix is often used on steep hillsides and other areas that are difficult to maintain. This mix stands 6" - 12" tall.
• Hector Red Fescue - 20%
• Mary Chewings Fescue - 20%
• Dawson Red Fescue - 20%
• Scaldis Hard Fescue - 20%
• SR4200 Dwarf Ryegrass - 20%
RANGE BRAND PASTURE MIX
We turn to this mix when the client wants the seeded area to look like a "field". This mix will stand 2.5' - 4' tall.
