We typically install four different types of flagstone in walks and patios (Anamosa, Native Sawed, Giant Native & Fon du Lac). Please see the sample photos at the bottom of the page and descriptions below for more information. Other flagstones are available as special orders. Anamosa stone is an off white, thin layered, very flat stone from Iowa. Because it is so flat, Anamosa can be used in patios, formal walks or stepping stone paths. Native Sawed stone has a sawed surface with a yellow / brown color. Because it is so flat, Native Sawed can be used in patios, formal walks or stepping stone paths Giant Native stone are really big (3' - 4' wide by 8" - 10" thick) stone set into the ground as stepping stones. Giant Native stone has the same texture as regular Native stones. Typically used for walkways or stepping stone paths Fon du Lac is a grayish stone with a texture similar to Native stone. Also used for walkways and stepping stone paths more often that patios. Fon du Lac has a more neutral color than either of the other flagstones and is less commonly used.
